Governor Rotimi Amaechi to meet with president Goodluck Jonathan today

All is now set for the Council of state meeting scheduled to hold today at the State House, Abuja.

Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi who has not attended the meeting since he fell apart with President Goodluck Jonathan has confirmed that he will attend the meeting

However, Amaechi at his twitter handle wrote, “I will attend the Council of State meeting. I will oppose any agenda to postpone the elections. The plot will fail. Nigerians want CHANGE”.
The council consists of the President, the Vice-President, all former Presidents or ex-Heads of State, all former Chief Justices of Nigeria, the President of the Senate, all state governors and the Attorney-General of the Federation.

The call for the postponement of this month’s general elections and the level of preparedness of INEC may likely top the agenda at the meeting.
