There have been different faction on the possible cause of the split between Don Jazzy and Dbanj and the Mo'hits Crew.
The Koko master on this revealing episode of "The TRUTH" with Olisa Adibua tells us nothing but the truth and has pointed at Dr Sid as the person responsible for his walking away from Don Jazzy and the rest of Mo’hits crew in a split that at the time reverberated across the Nigerian music industry.
He said, “Dr Sid was jealous. He felt I was overshadowing his glory.”
After Mo’Hits split in 2012, Don Jazzy moved on to float Mavin Records which initially included Wande Coal, D’Prince, Dr Sid and Tiwa Savage.
K-Switch went with his brother who created DB Records. But D’banj also said even his brother K-switch, wasn’t in his corner at the beginning of the row.
He also said, “I was heartbroken. K-Switch is my brother, but the truth is K-Switch was with them. My people were not comfortable with me again.”
The African entertainer recalled the moment he fell out with producer Don Jazzy. He noted that trouble started soon after he and Don Jazzy were signed to American rapper/producer, Kanye West’s Good Music label. Jazzy wasn’t comfortable with them moving to New York when they could stay back in Nigeria and still remain “bosses”.
“I’m like, we are almost there. (New York) is expensive but we can’t guarantee because it’s a doggy world out there. I said to him: listen, brother, this is not uncertainty. For Kanye West to see us, na God. And he said he didn’t want us to do it again.”
The Kokomaster said he did try to make things work but to no avail.
“I told Don Jazzy to give me six months to convince him again, maybe to sell my share to someone else, take the money and go try again.”
