Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, has dissolved all boards of agencies and parastatals in the state.
A statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Mr. Opunabo Inko-Tariah, and issued in Port Harcourt Monday night indicated that the dissolution would take immediate effect.
“The dissolution (of the board and parastatals) is with immediate effect,” the statement read in part.
It advised the dissolved boards’ members to handover to their various authorities.
The dissolution, according to the statement, did not affect the boards of the Rivers State Waste Management Authority and that of Greater Port Harcourt Authority.
