Mark & Ekweremadu Shun Convoy After Todays Valedictory Session

Outgoing Senate President, David Mark, and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu today shunned their convoy of exotic cars.The vehicles were left parked at the parking spaces allocated to the offices of the principal officers as of 7.05pm while Mark and Ekweremadu drove off in their personal vehicles, without siren after their Thursday valedictory session.
There are five  vehicles each in the convoy of the two principal officers. These consist of two principal vehicles,  two security vehicles, two pilot pick up vans and two power motorbike.
A clerk of a Senate committee, who explained their action though on the condition of anonymity said,
“The vehicles are the property of the National Assembly and the Clerk of the National Assembly, being the Chief Accounting Officer, will account for all the vehicles. Hence, the man waited after the session to take possession of the vehicles.”
