New Army chief to Spend Eid-el-Fitri With troops in Yobe State

Major-General Tukur‎ Buratai, the new Chief of Army Staff has said he would spend the Eid-el-Fitri celebration with the Nigerian troops at the “war zone” in Damaturu, Yobe State capital.

Emerging from the presidential villa after a private meeting with President Mohammadu Buhari today, Buratai said;

“I don’t have anything to say for now. I am just a few hours on the job. With time we will be talking some more.
“I am going to Damaturu to spend the Sallah with our troops there”, he said.
