Valentine Day Tragedy:Assistant Commissioner of Police Dies in Lagos Hotel Swimming Pool

An Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mr. Osung Ekpo yesterday died mysteriously while swimming in an undisclosed hotel in the Ajah area of Lagos State.

Ekpo who until his death was the Area Commander in charge of Area K Police Command, Morogbo, according to NEWSDAY Newspapers Source was in company of his friends.

The Officer is said to have gone to celebrate the Valentine when he decided to swim and drowned.

Eye witnesses said that he was rescued from the pool and was taken to the hospital but died few minutes later.

“Yes, we lost ACP Ekpo, the Area Commander, Area K Command. He was exercising in a swimming pool when he died. I am preparing a press release, which I would send to you soon. “ - Lagos State Police spokesperson, Dolapo Badmos, a Superintendent of Police said.
