The security operatives who have been attached to the Presidential Villa, Abuja, are currently groaning over stoppage of their special allowance referred to as the Risk Cautious Allowance since president Muhammadu Buhari led government took over.
The security agents are said to have enjoyed their allowances up until March, 2015, in the previous administration of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan who left April and May, 2015, allowances unpaid.
Some of the security agents owed include those of the Nigerian Army, the Nigeria Police, the Department of State Services, the Nigerian Intelligence Agency, the Federal Road Safety Commission and the Fire Service among others.
Despite not living to their obligations, authorities at the Presidential Villa are said to have kept introducing additional security measures that further task the security agents.
The last time security agents at the Villa heard on the matter is said to have been when the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno, directed all operatives in the Presidential Villa to fill some forms running into about five pages.
