Chibok Girls:Service Chiefs To Appear Before Senate

The senate during Thursday's plenary resolved to have the Service Chiefs appear before them to give update on the progress made so far on the rescue of abducted Chibok school children.

The lawmakers expressed concerns that after two years the whereabouts of the abducted school girls has remained unknown thereby ordering the service chiefs to appear before them. The date has not been fixed.
Also,lawmakers from the lower chamber have directed the Ministry of Interior to pay compensation to the families of the abducted girls.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, described the abduction of the Chibok girls and their continued captivity as a national shame.
The lawmakers also asked the Borno State government to rebuild Chibok Secondary School in the interest of children in the community.
