Reports has it that the girl was detained Friday at the Boulder County Juvenile Center. On March 6, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office was alerted to the alleged crime. According to the sheriff's office, the girl tried to kill her mom on March 2.
As the report continues, the girl allegedly attempted murdering her mother with bleach.
It was Learned she tried killing her mother by adding some bleach to her breakfast smoothie. The woman called police and told them that she smelled bleach in her drink, but thought her daughter may have cleaned the glass and not rinse it out thoroughly.
Upon further investigation, it was repealed the 12-year-old poured bleach into a water pitcher usually kept in her mom's bedroom. When mom noticed the bleach, she demanded answers from her daughter. She found out her daughter wanted to poison her to death for taking away her iPhone.
It's unclear if the girl will be charged with anything. Neither she nor her mother are being identified at this point.
