State Returning Officer, SRO, and Vice Chancellor, Federal University Ndufu Alike, Ikwo, Ebonyi State, Professor Oyewusi Ibidapo-Obe, this morning announced the result of the just concluded Imo state elections.
The sitting Governor,Rochas Owelle Okorocha polled a total of 416,996 votes to defeat his closest Rival of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, who scored 320,705 votes.
The announcement saw Youths,Supporters, friends, relations, government appointees and party loyalists take to the streets in celebration of the governor’s victory and re-election,Sunday morning.
