House of Reps Speakership: Candidates May Face Debate

According to a report on Daily Independence candidates vying for the seat of Speaker may be subjected to a public debate.
The incoming members of the 8th Assembly in the House of Representatives said that arrangements had been concluded to organise a public debate for all those aspiring for the Speakership position.
A member-elect, Mark Gbila, while addressing the House of Representatives Press Corps, in Abuja, disclosed that some of the newly elected members were already putting together a think thank to organise a first ever debate for the aspirants to the Speaker position.
He stated that since the bulk stops with the new members of the 8th Assembly, the new lawmakers are already taking steps to reach out to all contestants to come and talk to the entire House on their agenda.
