A 14-year-old boy, Uzoma Okereke, was at the weekend murdered by someone suspected to be his cousin.
Chibuike Opara, 17, has been arrested for the crime which took place at Umugaragu village in Ezigaragu Enyiogugu autonomous community of Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.
It was gathered that the boy was killed while on his way to the farm to harvest oil palm fruits in company of three other boys.
Daily Trust reports, the head of Uzoma Okereke was removed while his body was left in a bush.
Sources said the boys who were with the deceased when the incident occurred have been arrested.
When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Andrew Enwerem confirmed the incident, saying the command has commenced investigation into the matter.
He urged people of the area to remain calm, stressing that perpetrators of the crime would certainly be brought to book.
