Fani-Kayode Takes A Swipe At Saudi Prince for Blaming Africans as Being the Cause of the Mecca Stampede

Saudi Arabia's head of the central Hajj commitee, Prince Khaled al-Faisal, had blamed the crush outside the holy city of Mecca that killed at least 717 people and injured 850 more from several different countries on "some pilgrims with African nationalities", according to Saudi-owned al-Arabiya TV.

Prince Khaled's controversial remarks on undisciplined pilgrims were echoed by Saudi health minister Khaled al-Falih, who was quoted by El-Ekhbariya television as saying that "many pilgrims move without respecting the timetables [set by authorities, which was the] principal reason for this type of accident. If the pilgrims had followed instructions, this type of accident could have been avoided."

Following the remarks made by the Saudi Prince, Nigeria former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani Kayode has reacted to the Prince Statement as saying the Stampede was caused by "some pilgrims with African nationalities".
Chief Kayode who took to his facebook page to express his displeasure with the statement wrote;
717 souls perish in a stampede during hajj and instead of expressing regret a Saudi Arabian prince blames "African nationalities" for the tragedy? How callous can these Arabs be?
Meanwhile, Bring back our Girls Cordinator, BBOG, Oby Ezekwesili this morning tweeted that amongst those who lost their lives in the Mecca stampede was one Bilkisu Yusufu, an active member of the group.
May her Soul and the Souls of other faithfuls involved in the Stampede rest in perfect peace Amen!
