 President Muhammadu Buhari, on Sunday met with his Chinese Counterpart, President Xi Jinping to boost bilateral cooperation between the two countries’ strategic partnership.

Xi Jinping who is also in New York to attend a series of summits marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations said;

Nigeria enjoy a traditional friendship and their strategic partnership featuring win-win cooperation has brought substantial benefits for their peoples.

The two sides should firmly grasp the general direction of China-Nigeria friendship and promote bilateral ties from a strategic height and a long-term perspective, he added.
