Rivers Gov's Media Aide Survives Assassination Attempt

The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity,Mr Opunabo Nko-Tariah to Governor Nyesom Wike, on thursday night escaped assassination attempt on his life.
The media aide told newsmen in Port Harcourt yesterday that unknown gunmen opened fire on his vehicle at Israel Ama bridge in Asari Toru local government area and said he was still in awe at how he survived the shooting.
Vanguard reports Nko-Tariah said:
“I am still shocked over what happened. I was completely confused. The police escort told me not to stop the car and that I should continue driving. It was God that saved my life.
“They thought I was at the back of the car and that was why they targeted that part. With the tinted glasses, they had concluded that I was probably at the owner’s seat and they riddle the back side of the car with bullets.
