Emir Of Keffi Dies

Alhaji Mohammdu Chindo Yamusa II,the Emir of Keffi is dead. The monarch is said to have died peacefully in the early hours of today at his palace in Keffi, Keffi local government area of Nasarawa state.

A statement by his brother, Alhaji Abubakar Gada Mohammed, Dan Galadiman Keffi, stated the royal father who assumed the prestigious throne in 1978 passed on at about 3am today, Friday after a brief illness.

Mohammed said the over 70-year-old monarch's final funeral rites and burial would according to Islamic teachings take place after Juma’at prayer in Keffi.
