Former President Goodluck Jonathan’s was said to have narrowly escaped death yesterday as his convoy was chased by unknown men in Bayelsa.
The men were said to have chased the ex-president's convoy from the Julius Berger bridge area of Yenagoa to the entrance of his home in the Kpansia area on Monday, November 30, 2015.
They were subsequently overpowered by the former president’s security detail and handed to the police.
According to reports,the Four men involved have since been released by the police as investigation revealed they mistakenly followed the former President’s convoy on assumption that they were following the campaign trail of All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Timipre Sylva.
