The Central Bank of Nigeria has launched a Youth Initiative Entrepreneurship Development Programme targeting 10,000 youth corps members and fresh graduate in it pilot phase of the scheme.
Corp members as well as fresh graduates with good business ideas will have assess to N3m to start up their businesses.
The scheme which would be implemented by the central bank and Heritage Bank is aimed at creating a new set of entrepreneurs among members of the National Youth Service Corps and fresh graduates.
The CBN Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, who launched the Programme stated that the loan would be given to corp members at single digit interest rate, but they would be required to deposit their NYSC discharge certificates as collateral.
