First Photo of Parents Accused of Neglect After Boy Fell Into Gorilla Enclosure Emerges

On Sunday, a zoo staff shot dead Harambe, to protect a four-year-old boy who fell into the 17-year-old western lowland gorilla's enclosure.

Now the boy’s mother, 32-year-old Michelle Gregg, and father Deonne Dickerson, 37, have been pictured for the first time.
Michelle Gregg said yesterday in a post on Facebook that ‘accidents can happen’ and thanks everyone for their ‘thoughts and prayers’.
‘As a society we are quick to judge how a parent could take their eyes off of their child and if anyone knows me I keep a tight watch on my kids,’ she wrote.
‘Accidents happen but I am thankful that the right people were in the right place today.’
