Donald Trump who has been playing songs of Legendary British band, The Rolling Stones 1969 hit, at his rallies for months with 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' being a particular favourite has been asked to desist from the use of the song.
The group said in a statement:
Trump has been known to play at least two other songs by the Rolling Stones at his rallies: “You Can’t Always Get What You Want,” “Sympathy for the Devil” and “Brown Sugar.” A campaign volunteer told the New Yorker in February that Trump personally curated the playlist, which also includes Elton John and music from “Cats” and “The Phantom of the Opera.”
Popular singer, Adele back in February warned Trump not to use her music and that she had "not given permission for her music to be used for any political campaigning,"
The group said in a statement:
“The Rolling Stones have never given permission to the Trump campaign to use their songs and have requested that they cease all use immediately,” a spokesperson for the legendary British band said.
