Kano Blasphemy killing: Suspects Arrested (Photo)

Five persons have been arraigned before a court in Kano over last week's killing of a Igbo trader on allegation of blasphemy.  

The trader,Bridget Agbahime was beheaded after some suspected muslims brutally accused the christian woman of blasphemy in Kano. Five persons have been arraigned before a court in Kano over last week’s killing of the trader who is reported to be a member of the Deeper Life church.

According to the police in Kano who arraigned the suspects, their names are; Dauda Ahmad, Abdullahi Mustapha, Zubairu Abubakar, Abdullahi Abubakar and Musa Abdullahi as they appeared before Chief Magistrate Court on a four-count charge.

Blasphemy: Buhari Condemns Killing, Assures Justice Will Be Done

President Muhammadu Buhari has in a statement by his spokesperson, Femi Adesina, described as sad and regrettable the killing of one Bridget Agbahime, a market woman in Kano over blasphemy by mob.
President Buhari also condoled with the husband of the deceased, Mike Agbahime, the family and relations, praying that God would give them the fortitude to bear the loss.
