Embattled former Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA boss Patrick Ziadeke Akpobolokemi was on Monday Dec 14th dragged into a waiting bus belonging to the EFCC after they stormed the Federal High Court to effect his arrest.
According to report, the former Director General was just coming from a court presided over by justice Ibrahim Buba, where his cases was adjourned till 18th January, 2016 for trial and was about to enter his car outside the court when he was accosted by two EFCC operatives and two armed mobile policemen.
They requested he joined them in their waiting bus and when he refused they dragged him into their vehicle and zoomed off.
See the video below:
Now even a lay man would tell you that the action of the security operatives was far from international best practices.
Nigeria law enforcement agencies should be taught to respect the rights of citizens because they are paid with tax payers money to protect and not treat harmless citizens like animals.
