The Federal Government has announced Tuesday and Wednesday next week as public holidays.
Disclosing this yesterday, the Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd) said it is to allow Muslim faithful mark the Eid-el Fitri celebrations.
Dambazau, in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, Bassey Akpanyung, urged all Muslims and Nigerians in general to use “the period of spiritual rejuvenation to reflect on the imperative of unity and peaceful co-existence in strengthening the bond of togetherness for a strong, virile nation.”
