Sallah Celebrations: FG Declares Tuesday, Wednesday Public Holiday

The Federal Government has announced Tuesday and Wednesday next week as public holidays.
Disclosing this yesterday, the Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd) said it is to allow Muslim faithful mark the Eid-el Fitri celebrations.

Bakassi Militants have appealed to their counterparts, the Niger Delta Avengers, to sheath their sword and give peace a chance.
In an interview with Channels TV, the Militants under the aegis of Bakassi Strike Force said bombing of pipelines will only inflict more hardship on the people of the region.

FG Releases List Of Recovered Loots, Assets, Others

The Federal Government today 4th June,2016 released the amounts recovered in the past one year of his administration.
The figures released is based on the interim report on the financial and assets recoveries made by the various government agencies from May 2015 to May 2016.

Niger Delta militants have issued a fresh ultimatum to the Federal Government to release the corpses of 10 pro-Biafra agitators killed during a clash with security agencies four days ago in Onitsha, Anambra State.
The group gave the Federal Government till Friday, June 3, 2016 to release their corpse or they avenge “unprovoked” killing of the Biafra supporters by security operatives.
The ultimatum is coming four days after some supporters of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra were killed by security agencies in Onitsha.

Photos: France Returns Artifact Illegally Exported From Nigeria

France has officially returned to Nigerian Government the Nok Terracotta that was illegal exported from the the country. The Nok Terracotta was intercepted in France while in transit from Togo to the United States in 2008.

French Ambassador to Nigeria Denys Gauer officially presented the artifact, a Terracotta figurative sculpture, to the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, at a ceremony to mark the 2016 International Museum Day in Abuja on Wednesday.

NLC, TUC Demand N56,000 as New National Minimum Wage

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) have jointly proposed and presented N56, 000 as the new minimum wage to the Federal Government.
The current national minimum wage is N18, 000.
The NLC president, Ayuba Wabba, said this at a news conference on Wednesday in Abuja.
