Abuja High Court Sacks Ali Modu Sheriff as PDP Chairman

Embattled national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ali Modu Sheriff has been removed by a high court sitting in Abuja
The court sitting presided over by Justice Valentine Ashi, on Wednesday ordered Ali Sheriff to vacate the seat as acting chairman with immediate effect faulting the process through which he emerged the party’s national chairman.

A Federal High Court seating  in Lagos has nullified the national caretaker committee constituted during last Saturday’s convention by the Peoples Democratic Party.
Justice Ibrahim Buba In his ruling said the committee was constituted in violation of an order he had made on May 12, when he barred the PDP from holding elections into offices of the national chairman, national secretary, and national auditor pending the determination of a suit before him.

PDP Sacks Sheriff, Appoints Makarfi Caretaker Chairman

Embattled National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ali Modu Sherriff was yesterday sacked by the national convention of the party held in Port Harcourt.
Former governor of Kaduna State, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, has been elected as caretaker chairman of the party.
Sherrif, had called off the national convention of the party earlier in the day sensing he might lose his job at the convention. In a press briefing at Le Meridian Hotel, Port Harcourt,Sherrif cited court orders restraining the party from proceeding with the convention as reason.
