See The Brand New Vehicles That Will Now Replace Danfo Buses In Lagos (Photos)

 The Lagos state government has unveiled brand new buses that will replace popular danfo buses and molues in the state.
The commissioner for transportation, Dr. Dayo Mobereola said the scheme would see to the introduction of higher capacity buses that would have 30 seats as opposed to 14/18 seats, while the buses would be Eco- friendly, air-conditioned, comfortable, support for maintenance.

Court Jails Ex-NIMASA DG Over N1.5b Contract Scam

A Federal High Court seating in Lagos today sentenced former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Raymond Omatseye, to five years in prison over a N1.5 billion contract.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had charged Omatseye on 27 counts bordering on bid rigging and contract splitting.
Chief Godwin Obla (SAN) appeared as lead counsel for the EFCC, while Edoka Onyeke appeared for the convict.
Delivering her judgment by fiat on Friday, Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia found Omatseye guilty of 24 out of the 27 counts brought against him.
The Judge, however, discharged and acquitted him of three out of the 27 counts bordering on bid rigging.
Ofili-Ajumogobia found Omatseye guilty of awarding contracts above the stipulated threshold and convicted him on counts one to 20, 24, 25, 26 and 27.

My Wife Was Sleeping With Another Man, Alleged killer Husband,Lekan Shonde Speaks

Lekan Shonde, who is on the run after allegedly killing his wife, Ronke, in the Egbeda-Idimu, area of Lagos has disclosed the deceased provoked him to the act. The Apapa, Lagos oil company depot worker said his wife of eight years changed after she allegedly started dating the general manager of a publishing company.
The Abeokuta, Ogun State indigene, said the the deceased slept with another man in a hotel in Abuja and that he regretted marrying Ronke, explaining that his late mother had warned him against the union, but he never listened.
